The different ways to pass a motorcycle license
A motorcycle license is essential for all motorized two-wheeler enthusiasts. However, there are different license categories, each tailored to a specific type of motorcycle. Here’s an overview of the different ways to obtain your motorcycle license in France:
Traditional training:
Courses are offered at a regular pace, based on your availability.
Accelerated training:
Courses are intensive and allow you to obtain your license in a few days or weeks.
Independent training:
You learn on your own and take the exams without going to a motorcycle school.

For supervised training, choose a motorcycle school that fits your schedule, needs, and budget. Practice regularly, both on the track and in traffic, and pay attention to your instructor’s advice.
Don’t forget to bring safety equipment (helmet, gloves, jacket, pants, boots, back protectors, etc.). By following these tips and preparing thoroughly, you will maximize your chances of passing your motorcycle license test and avoiding accidents.
The Different Motorcycle License Categories

This allows you to drive mopeds with a displacement of less than 50 cc (scooters, mopeds) or light quadricycles with a motor (cars) from the age of 14.

This allows you to drive motorcycles with a maximum power of 35 kW (47.5 hp) and a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 0.2 kW/kg, from the age of 18.
It also requires obtaining the motorcycle code and passing a practical test.
